Major Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to drinking water, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in supplying protection systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen rockets targeted energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults come after periods of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

The entire country is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were anticipating more assaults.
